0:00:26.410,0:00:31.060
up carplay there’s a couple of things

0:00:28.030,0:00:34.179
you can try first make sure you’re using

0:00:31.060,0:00:35.620
a reputable USB cable the first party

0:00:34.179,0:00:37.629
cable that came with your iPhone is

0:00:35.620,0:00:40.390
always a good option and there’s also

0:00:37.629,0:00:42.039
plenty of solid third-party cables but

0:00:40.390,0:00:44.109
there’s also a lot of cheap cables out

0:00:42.039,0:00:46.629
there too for some reason

0:00:44.109,0:00:50.769
switching up USB cables sometimes fixes

0:00:46.629,0:00:52.780
the issue every vehicle has different

0:00:50.769,0:00:54.940
quirks when troubleshooting carplay and

0:00:52.780,0:00:57.399
many seem unable to work right when

0:00:54.940,0:01:00.339
maintaining a Bluetooth connection to

0:00:57.399,0:01:02.890
either your phone or previous phones if

0:01:00.339,0:01:04.300
you’re having issues with carplay dig

0:01:02.890,0:01:07.060
into the bluetooth settings in your

0:01:04.300,0:01:10.690
car’s infotainment Center and get rid of

0:01:07.060,0:01:12.820
any connections hanging around another

0:01:10.690,0:01:14.380
thing you can do is to check your iPhone

0:01:12.820,0:01:16.720
to see if you have any other carplay

0:01:14.380,0:01:18.970
vehicles hooked up you can do this by

0:01:16.720,0:01:21.970
going to Settings General and carplay

0:01:18.970,0:01:25.180
just swipe on a vehicle and tap forget

0:01:21.970,0:01:27.010
to get rid of it also it’s not a bad

0:01:25.180,0:01:30.780
idea to delete your current vehicles

0:01:27.010,0:01:30.780
connection here and set it up again

0:01:31.060,0:01:35.630
some people are finding specifically

0:01:33.710,0:01:39.350
that Spotify no longer works with

0:01:35.630,0:01:41.180
carplay after updating to iOS 12 music

0:01:39.350,0:01:43.370
still plays from Spotify but the

0:01:41.180,0:01:46.570
complain is opening the Spotify app and

0:01:43.370,0:01:49.220
carplay only brings up a black screen

0:01:46.570,0:01:50.000
trying all the usual fixes is a good

0:01:49.220,0:01:52.910
start here

0:01:50.000,0:01:55.190
close and reopen the Spotify app and so

0:01:52.910,0:01:57.860
on but what does seem to be an issue for

0:01:55.190,0:02:01.190
a lot of people is the Waze and Spotify

0:01:57.860,0:02:03.350
integration when using carplay Waze is a

0:02:01.190,0:02:05.660
new addition to car play in iOS 12 which

0:02:03.350,0:02:07.460
a lot of people are thrilled about but

0:02:05.660,0:02:09.619
if you have the Waze and Spotify

0:02:07.460,0:02:12.530
integration activated in the way setting

0:02:09.619,0:02:14.690
try turning that off turning it off

0:02:12.530,0:02:17.750

I have an issue here, CarPlay works fine for me with the cable connected but i'd like to use it wireless (Bluetooth) I can connect to my radio with Bluetooth when I in my iPhone settings under CarPlay it also sees my car but when I press connect there is just this spinning wheel that keeps spinning and nothing happens…. Anyone has an idea ? Same issue happens on a iPhone 6 and 10.
