Google Pixel 2 Review 2019: A Smartphone (Still) Worth Buying?

Welcome to my Google Pixel 2 review 2018. I still believe the Google Pixel 2 is a phone worth having in 2018. In this video, I help answer the question of whether you should own a Google Pixel 2 if you are in the market for a new phone, or are already a current Pixel 2 owner looking to figure out if you should upgrade your phone.

Specific hardware specs of Google Pixel 2:

The Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are both powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, coupled with 4 GB LPDDR4X RAM. They both come in storage options of 64 or 128 GB.

The Pixel 2 has a 5-inch (130 mm) AMOLED display panel with 1920×1080 resolution, coming in at around 441 ppi, while the Pixel 2 XL comes with a 6-inch (150 mm) P-OLED display panel with a 2:1 aspect ratio and a 2880×1440 resolution at 538 ppi.

Both phones have a 12.2 megapixel rear camera capable of recording 4K video at 30 FPS, 1080p video at 120 FPS, and 720p video at 240 FPS. The camera also contains phase-detection autofocus, laser autofocus, and HDR+ processing. The Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL also include the Intel-designed Pixel Visual Core image processor for faster and lower power image processing,[7] though it was not enabled until Android 8.1 was released in January 2018.[8][9] The camera does not allow capturing Raw images and lacks manual controls. Unlike Apple’s iPhone 8 and iPhone X, the Pixels do not have support for 4K video at 60 FPS, as the processor is not powerful enough.[10][11] Although the camera has Optical Image Stabilization it is unable to remove some high frequency vibrations that other smartphones are able to remove.[12] Pixel 2 owners receive free unlimited storage for all photos and videos taken on the phone in original quality through the end of 2020, with unlimited high-quality storage continuing afterwards.[13]

The Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL support USB Power Delivery quick charging, have a fingerprint sensor on the rear, IP67 dust and water resistance and are Daydream-ready.[14]

I hope you enjoyed my review of the Google Pixel 2! I will be getting the new Pixel 3 once it releases worldwide Nov. 1st, so stay tune for that review as well 🙂

Is it better to buy a brand new mid-range phone or a second-hand flagship phone that's about 2 years old? I want an amazing camera, but battery life and performance and a tight budget are considerations. Eg, Pixel 2 vs Samsung A50.

The only good thing there is camera. Doesnt even shoot 4k60 even pixel 3. Disappointing. Software experiance belongs to Apple not even google, imagine on samsungs and huawei and the rest

My Pixel bricked itself overnight and was stuck on maximum brightness, showing the giant Google logo right smack in the middle of the screen. I don't mind the fact that it bricked itself, and I understand that that can happen to any phone… But now, I have a HUGE google logo burned into the middle of my screen, with NO WAY TO FIX IT. Wtf Google.

Oof, got my pixel 2 a year ago but the last few months it really started to crash alot. Dunno what I did. Just do social media, YouTube and..well that's kinda it lol love the phone but after having it, I realized that I wanted something bigger..and a headphone jack. I'll just factory reset, sell and get a v30 for like 300$

why do people complain about bezels…bezels weren't a thing until 2017…before 2017 people were looking at how beautiful displays were, but now people are looking how beautiful the bezels are…stop hating the bezels….i would rather have a big bezel than a ugly notch
