Hi, Nice video Jimmy. I tried getting audio form my analog mixer auxiliary output into my phone using the trs to trrs adapter cable, but my phone is still picking the sound from the internal microphone. I am using open camera app. I have also tried other video recording apps but I keep getting the same issue. I have also chosen "external mic" from audio source while using open camera but same issue persist. Could you please, help me figure it out.

If I may ask, how did you connect the whole mixer/amplifier to your earbuds. It's like a mono stuff. Instead of your voice sounding from the loudspeaker, you were hearing your voice right in your ears. Can you please explain? Thanks.

Thank you for this video man. Highly appreciated….. How do you know if your mixer's audio is maxed out just before it clips. Because doing that technique with the built-in VoiceRecorder app, here shows a super quick overload of my audio signal, so I must move down the master fader drastically, and then feel as if it sounds Mono . . . Thank you.

Hey Family, please help me. My phone (Samsung A71) was initially recognising the external mic but now it no longer sees it, even when I use the Open Camera. What is wrong? Is there something I can do?

Thank you. Great help as I needed the app to make my switch to the headphone jack. I then connected it to the Sound blaster K3+, and was able to briefly play records until getting my self blocked. On the plus side, I know I had decent audio playing with the video. Cheers

I have an iPhone 8 and I'm not seeing the Open Camera app on the App Store. Wondering if it's just because it's an "Android only" app or do I need a newer phone? Thanks in advance.

This is exactly what I want to get audio from the console on my mobile to do live broadcast but because I am far from the console and I do not have such a big cable I can get the audio wirelessly for example with rode microphone question mark

Hey! I’m wondering if you could help me – no matter what I do my lightening cable just won’t pick up the mixer ? I just downloaded the app you’ve recommended and it only gives me internal mic option despite everything being set up perfectly – any recommendations? Thanks – sarah

I tried to use the microphone output from my soundcard and plug it in a trs to trrs adapter to my Phone but it doesn't work. But I don't understand why. Can anybody help me out?

  12. Conor Ward

Great video and really detailed description!I bought the TRRS to TRS adaptor and the 1/8 inch to dual 1/4 inch cables. Connected it to the main outs of my Behringer Eurosport mixer and connected to my phone. Then recorded with Open Camera. However, when I listen back it's just noise intermittently coming in and out. Anyone have this issue and know a solution? Thanks!
