Huawei P30 Hands-on Review

The Huawei P30 is a 2019 refresh of last year’s P20, boasting even smarter camera tech, updated specs and that same sleek design. We’ve been hands-on with the new P30 phone ahead of the official launch and here’s what you need to know about this premium handset.

The standard P30 sports a tri-lens camera, now with ultra wide and a periscope telephoto lens. Huawei’s Super Spectrum optics means more light is sucked into the sensor for brighter, more realistic photos and video.

You also get speedier performance now with the same Kirin 980 chooser found in the Mate 20 series. And the P30 backs it up with 6GB RAM.

We’re hoping for strong battery life although there’s no 40w fast charge or wireless charging support. And Huawei’s latest EMUI 9.1 software means you’re bang up to date.

Stay tuned for our full review of the Huawei P30!

Hi I'm sure you sound like someone from Teck Spurt hahah it would be nice if you can show the sim try so that people like me are looking for a mobile phone with hybrid Sim like (Samsung S9) where it can hold 2sim cards at the same time or one sim card and a memory card. Keep up the good work like watching your videos, thank you

In a couple of weeks I'm going to retire my trusty LG G4, which I'm using since '15 november. I have a couple of options in mind for replacement: P20 Pro, P30 and S9+. Any ideas to make my desision easier?

I've pre ordered the P30. Arriving on Friday. Can't wait to get it. I currently have the Galaxy S8 which I love so much. Will be interesting on how it matches up to it.

Does the P30 have a slow motion/super slow motion setting when in video mode?

A great phone, but lacks in certain areas like IP rating, camera, wireless charging. Could you do a review on the speakers?
