Huawei Watch 2 Review in 2018 after a year – Still worth it? (HW 2 review)

Huawei Watch 2 Review in 2018 with android wear 2.0 – In this video I’ll quickly review Huawei watch second gen which released about a year ago. I’ll compare Huawei watch 2 with huawei watch 1 (original huawei watch) and give you my honest opinion about HW2 (basically a HW 2 vs HW 1). HW 2 has a lot of features, great screen quality, good battery performance and awesome sensors including GPS, Heart rate monitor and gyro. It has also NFC for android pay and overall it’s a really great smart watch. However Huawei watch 2 like all of the other smart watches has some minor negative aspects which I’ll go over in this video.

Is that a late review of the watch a year after it has been released on the market or you been using the Huawei Watch 2 for a year? If you been using it for a whole year what you could tell about the battery life?

I'd like to replace the stock band on my Huawei Watch 2 Sport with a Milanese loop Mesh Stainless Steel band with Magnetic Clasp . Do I need to be concerned about the ends of the band that connect to the watch ?  I see many loop bands listed for the Classic but not the Sport. The stock sport band appears to be curved on the ends?

Yashar, outstanding review and you showed your knowledge and had great comparison to other smart watches. The other commenters helped and like you, had the first Huawei watch and miss it but disappointing there are no substantial upgrades. I'm eager to see your reviews on other watches.

I have no problem with screen size and less chance of breaking in outdoor sports. I use view ranger mapping on it and can see just fine. It also looks more like a watch watch than any other on market – I prefer that look

If your actually using this for a sport watch this design is much better. For a fashion not so. I'm a mountain biker and this is the only smart watch with a rugged design out there so good job

I got the gear s3 – just for the rotating bezel. Would have got the LG watch sport but it is unavailable in the UK. Gear s3 is decent but misses a good assistant and decent map app!

very nice review. can i use my HW2 with my 4g sim card and use all features?i dont want to connect to my phone through bluetooth for some reason ,i want it purely independent

Yashar. I owned this briefly. I agree with you about the lack of a rotating bezel and the small screen size. When I tried to use Google Fit, it would not use the watch’s GPS. It would only connect to the phone’s GPS. It would only connect to the watch’s GPS in the native Huawei application. I thought that was poor design software from Huawei.
