    thats why when buying an android phone it's best to buy it unlocked by the company that makes the phone that way you receive updates directly from them instead of the carrier who delays the release of security patches

    Or you can just buy a pixel and get updates from Google, no carrier update needed. Should have mentioned that. At at the time of this video it would have been a Nexus device. Just saying.
