Google has a far better portrait mode Samsung is terrible at that point
I have pixel software on my Note 8 I can see night and day difference.
IF samsung want to beat the pixel they need to have the Google Pixel cam software
In the note 8 I had to keep cleaning the lense due to how some times the Selfie camera is blurry and selective focus is Horrible.

Its over brightness vs over saturation in front camera
    I would pick saturation.

Truth is s9+ is better. Look at 2:47 pixel edge detection sucks. It focused on branches at top right at background. Whereas s9 clearly separated foreground and background with good bokeh. At 2:57 plant in his hand at same focal length but pixel blurred it whereas s9 keep the plant edges in focus and blurred the background perfectly. Look at 3:10 pixel background grass blur is uneven whereas s9 is super good. Only hdr+ is good in pixel. We can achieve same dynamic range effect in pro mode in s9 if you guys know photography.

I'll assume this channel is new on tech matters I hope advices are useful in sitatuations like this please increase the number of sample shots specially low-light shots and you don't have to devote 2 minutes only on specs out of 4 mins video, other than that i like your work buddy.

The S9+ front camera should be much better… Pixel kicked S9's ass. The rear camera is better on the S9, specially low light condition, but not by much. Overall, because of the front camera, Pixel is still the king.
