S9 is better… for the about 20 images, s9 scored 13 vs 7 winners for me…and i have a v30 myself…..s9 is sharper and the lg is over saturated in some cases…but the differences are so small and you probably can improve picture quality when you learn to use the pro-mode.

S9 wins the colors pop out more . It's sharper. The s9+ has the best low light camera in the world. Also the s9+ is in second place for light shots . The google pixle 2 xl has the best out side camera in the world .

Its evident that the S9+ is the winner, better dynamic range, images are sharper with no jagged edges. Clearly the S9+. I like LG but the s9 is the clear winner. Should be doing the Lg35 tbh

my observations assuming all photos are taken in auto: details – s9, color balance – tie, contrast – v30 (by a hair), macro – s9, low light – s9. If S9 is a 5/5, V30 is a 4.7/5. But V30 kills S9 in video with spatial audio recording!

I agree with most of the comments posted here. Despite being older, LG V30 daylight and low light pictures have more natural colors and less over-sharpening applied than the ones taken with the Samsung Galaxy S9. Overall, the LG V30 remains the best choice.

Look the same to me. Sometime the V30 wins, sometime the S9+ wins. Either way, its very disappointing to see Samsung hype this phone camera to the moon, while its nothing to brag about.

I like my V30+ but the standard camera app surprisingly works worse than Google's. So I use the latter for standard shots and the LG's app for wide angle.
