China is using German technology for memory

More Trouble for Micron: China Unveils Its First Domestic DRAM Chip.
"Chinese chipmakers would also accelerate their domestic chipmaking efforts, which could eventually lock foreign chipmakers out of the market. That move would also flood the market with cheap chips and eliminate any hopes for a meaningful recovery in DRAM and NAND prices."

The only problem they have is that they cannot produce it fast enough, which China aim to address by pouring billions for chips infrastructures.

But most likely China will leapfrog directly to AI chips, skipping x8 tech which is controlled by US. If China release it under open sources as a way to capture the market, other countries which don't want to be held hostage will surely shift to it.

1st US said Huawei products are risk to other countries security cause can be used to hack & steal datas. Then after soo much talks and challenged to prove these allegations by showing it in "practise", none given except these "we have evidences that it is a risk to our national security".
WHY DID US DARE NOT SHOW HOW HUAWEI EQUIPMENT CAN BE USED TO HACK & STEAL DATAS ?
BECAUSE : If US showed/proved it then it also showed the whole world how it has been hacking the world by using current western made equipments used by all countries.
Its like slapping its own face.

It is about damn time. China runs concentration camps and organ harvesting of minorities, to name just a few of their crimes. The free world shouldn't be dealing with any nations that conduct that kind of crap.

Too late trump. They have already hisilicon and other homegrown tech. Goodbye Boeing, apple, qualcomm and other US products in China. China is a nationalist country well if they say boycott US products… We don't know what will happen.

EVERYONE has always known of China’s outright ownership or control of its companies. With China’s escalating belligerence and refusal to acknowledge international laws while encroaching upon the territories of its neighbors It’s only common sense that opposing states would take actions in their own defense.

Add Xiaomi and all other Chinese smartphone makers to the ban. Other Chinese companies are just replacing Huawei's market share. This isn't a punishment to China at all.
