The custom ROM support for Mi A1 is one of the best I've seen so far. Kinda reminds me of Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 days. Have been using Lineage OS ever since it became official and I have no intentions of going back to stock ROM or even Pixel Experience. Love this device and the community. It would've been great if you would've mentioned more about custom ROMs and the community.

I have several problems with the mi a1.
Have fun reading the critics of the phone.✌️
    1. The screen is not so responsive since half year of use.
    2. The vibration motor is almost dead, and very bad spectrum of sensitivity(tested with the gboard keyboard. It had a very noisy vibration from 80ms.)
    3. If you use your full thumb(as sometime it happens) some weird lag responds on the screen.
    4. I dropped it too several times and it has bent. Not much, but I can get the screen out at the top like 3mm-s.
    5. The ui doesn't feel like 60fps. When I was watching a video of an other phone I was realy jealous.
    6. The system is lagging and dropping error messages, and not responding windows after about 2months of use from a clear start.
    7. Fuck custom roms. The best part of the phone is the camera, and on custom roms no one have ported mi camera. The google camera looks awful and It's also useless, also the snapdragon Camera..
    8. It is gorilla glass but I was removing the broken glass for 3days, and I haven't done anything bad Ive got millions of microscratches; reminder, I havent put it next to keys coins or any metallic shit.
9 The system was dumb, and functionless. even the anroid Pie. I was very disappointed at the functionality of the mi a1. Oh and after a year the camera was boring aswell. Compared to the todays similar pricerange phones.
Also the camera app on locked screen, 2powerhits, and I got a white screen for the first try. And then it worked 2nd time. It was really frustrating..

I don't recommend anything to do with the mi a1 today. Its ok for standard users who dont give af about these small but frustrating problems.

I got changed to a mi 8 lite from the a1. And its miles away in functions, desgin, etc. Also, the mi a1 was 60bucks more when I bought it, so that means It realy is a good decide to change the mi a1 even to a note 6pro. But I reccommend mi 8 lite. Offers 100 million miles away better stuff than mi a1.

Try to guard the mi a1. I was an expert user of it. I know every part of it. So thats it.

Edit: The audio that it offers from the loudspeaker is also very low quality, and If I listen at an earphone it literally scratches the music, and has a noise.(oh and wink It was happening from the beggining, and I realized it the next day from the purchase.)

    "we" it's pronounced "u i" , not "v i", and "well" it's " u e l", not "v e l". I know it's your accent but it's veeeery annoying. And english is teoretically one of your native languages. I'm romanian and I pronounce more correctly

Dear XDA this is a issue which very less people talk about due to lack of voices it's being ignored. Every single tinma panel had image persistence and infact xiaomi should be aware of it. The redmi note 5 pro has that note 4 has that mi5 Poco has that infact mi 2 has that too I don't know why aren't they doing anything for this it becomes annoying at times please investigate this issue we want a proper response from them
